How to Choose the Right Size for Your Pet

Finding the right size for your pet is one of the most important parts of choosing accessories that are comfortable and safe.

At Snuggle Bug Pets, we recommend always measuring your pet rather than relying on breed or general sizing.

How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape and measure around your pet’s neck where the accessory will sit. Make sure you can comfortably fit two fingers between the tape and your pet’s neck. You can follow our full size guide to help you get an accurate fit before ordering.

Snap bandanas

For snap bandanas, compare your pet’s neck measurement directly to the size chart. These are designed with two snap positions and can also be folded and tied before snapping for a more adjustable fit.

Over-the-collar bandanas

For over the collar bandanas, take your pet’s neck measurement and divide it by two. This gives you the approximate bandana width to compare against the size chart.

If your pet is between sizes

We generally recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit.
